Overview
The history of SABIS® dates back to 1886 when the first school in what has grown into the SABIS® School Network, the International School of Choueifat, was founded in the village of Choueifat, a suburb of Beirut, Lebanon. Over the past 125+ years, the International School of Choueifat expanded around the world and became a well-reputed global network consisting of public and private schools located in 15 countries on four continents.
Roots in the 19th century have provided SABIS® with a solid foundation in the world of global education management. It is against this background that the decision to open an independent SABIS® University was taken; it was the next logical step in the growing world of SABIS®. SABIS® University strides to deliver outstanding programs developed in collaboration with experts in both the academic and industry backgrounds. SABIS® higher education programs not only address the technical know-how that future graduates must have to succeed at work, but also equip them with the foresight to come up with solutions that benefit the community they live in and to promote the ethics and integrity to advance humanity.
Today, at the forefront of education, SABIS® is managed by a knowledgeable team of more than 4,500 employees.
