What distinguishes the SABIS® Educational System?
The SABIS® Educational System is the product of education visionaries who realized 123 years ago that education was the key to developing and maintaining healthy economies. As the system evolved to adapt to the needs of a changing world, key elements came to characterize and distinguish the system: efficiency and accountability among them.
As an education system, the concept of efficiency is a central component to ensuring the success of it students. The main goal is to yield utmost learning in the shortest amount of time through a researched, well-structured system that both challenges and motivates students. Why is English the language of instruction?
Proficiency in the English language is required in order to attain high standards of learning and a global edge; therefore, English is the language of instruction in all institutions managed by SABIS®.

How is proficiency in English achieved?
The SABIS® University students will acquire English proficiency through communicative and content-based language instruction.

What are the admission requirements?
Admission to the four-year bachelors programs is based primarily on the applicant's school record and academic subjects. Candidates will be required to sit for the SABIS® EDUCATION ADMISSION TEST (the SEAT™), which is a battery of diagnostic English, numeracy, and general knowledge tests.

What happens if a candidate doesn't meet the English admission requirements and still wants to study at the SABIS® University?
For students who have not met the required English proficiency standards for admission, the SABIS® University offers Foundation and Summer School programs. These college-preparatory programs are designed to prepare students with the level of English proficiency necessary for academic study in the core programs offered in the university.

What teaching levels and areas of specialization can a candidate choose in the Bachelor of Education degree program?
A candidate can be trained as a Kindergarten (Early Childhood), Primary or Secondary Teacher. He/she can specialize in any or a combination of the following core subjects: English, Mathematics, Life Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and combinations of), Information Technology, and Social Studies (in combination with English or another major).
