Change of Major

  • A student may petition the College concerned to change major. If it is the case of changing emphasis, the student needs to fill a change of emphasis form at the concerned College and secure the signature of the concerned people. Once approved, the Registrar’s office will be informed of the student’s change of status. As for changing major across colleges, the student must fill a change of major form at the Registrar’s office. This form shall be sent to the council of the College for approval or rejection. Deadlines for changing majors shall be announced by the Registrar’s office (check the academic calendar for the exact dates). The admissions’ conditions and the student’s academic performance at SABIS® will be taken into consideration. Acceptance in the new major is also conditional on approval of the College of the new major and availability of places.
  • Students wishing to change major will have the option of dropping off the grades of three courses taken at SABIS® University that belong to the core and/or emphasis requirements of the old major and are not a requirement of the new major. The grades and credits of those courses will be removed from the respective cumulative figures, but will be listed among all other courses on the transcript of records.
