MTH 106 : Business Math
Prerequisites: ENG 101
This course introduces students to the mathematical concepts and applications necessary for successful business careers. Topics include finance charges, cash discounts, commissions, payroll, tax deductions, depreciation, book value, compound interest, net present value, statistics, and graphics. Moreover, students are expected to increase their competencies in fundamental and arithmetic skills through the practical application of mathematics, business transactions, and calculations such as percentage, interest, discounts, markups, commissions, pricing, payrolls, depreciation, and inventory turnover and costing.
