MIS 310 : Business Programming and Web Applications

Prerequisites: strongly recommended CSC 202

This course covers web programming including client-server and web pplications. The course introduces students to business computer programming and to the most widely used higher level programming languages. Focus is on programming using Visual BASIC. Critical thinking and problem-solving intelligences are developed while developing structured programming skills. Students are also introduced to one of the web applications software. The course introduces the principles of distributed applications, the setup a web server, and the building of web applications with database connectivity. Several tools, software packages, and example web applications will be demonstrated.
