CSC 100 : Computer Applications

Prerequisites: CSC 001 or demonstrated proficiency in using computers

This is a basic introductory course that introduces the basic computer literacy skills. Students are expected to know the computer system parts, turning on and off, basic operating system functioning, installation of basic devices, and simple troubleshooting. Emphasis will be placed on basic software applications skills, essentially Microsoft Office. Students are expected to do basic word processing, create spreadsheets, and electronic presentations. Students are also expected to be able to use a mouse, demonstrate keyboard skills, and to print documents.
