ENG 310 : Contemporary Writing
Prerequisites: Junior Standing
This is a course for Secondary English specialists. The course will trace the changes in narrative style, language, theme, and plot from the late 19th century to the present day. It chooses major literary works, which focus on the divergent writing that followed on from the Victorian period and illustrate the multiplicity of styles in contemporary writing and the way that these authors portray the world around them. Specific topics, reading lists, and course outlines will be published annually.
