HTM 324 : Convention and Service Management
Prerequisites: Senior Standing, MKT 201
This course defines the scope and various segments of the convention market, explains what is required to meet individual needs, and explores methods and techniques leading to better sales and service. Students are expected to gain a general understanding of the sales and convention management aspect of the hospitality industry. The course introduces students to special event planning processes and techniques. Emphasis is on creating, organizing, and identifying sponsors and marketing and implementing large-scale community events. Students will be exposed to the needs and requirements of every type of meetings.
