CST 203 : Culture & Civilization III

Prerequisites: ENG 101

This course is about the 20th century events. Topics include World War I; the Interwar Period; Totalitarianism; World War II, and the postwar era. When discussing these topics, the course describes the economic, political, geographical, and social influences affecting each period. Topics also include the various economic systems of history; relation of economic systems to the values of societies; consideration of economic, cultural, and social interdependence; view of politics relative to economics; and analysis of the free enterprise system. In the area of politics, topics include the forms of government; the role of the individual and law in society, and the international impact of national policies.
