HTM 441 : Domestic Travel and Tourism Development
Prerequisites: Senior Standing, MGT 201, or permission of dept. chair
This course introduces tourism development in general and then specifically goes into the dimensions of tourism, the tourism industry, tourism markets, tourism supply, geography of tourism, and impacts of tourism. Topics include nature and scope of tourism planning, tourism development, typologies of tourism development, resource management, planning issues and strategies, attraction, tourism policy, facility and service development, economics of tourism, tourism manpower, tourism demand measurement and forecasting, international cooperation and tourism, politics of tourism, development sociology of tourism, and tourism and information technology.
