EAP 201 : English for Academic Purposes: Reading & Writing

Prerequisites: ENG 002

This is a foundation course in English for Academic Purposes. It focuses on the practical skills required for successful study, through the medium of English, at tertiary level. Aside from developing comprehension, the course covers learning goals, time management, the features of academic texts, and writing for the purposes of note-taking and essays. This course has 5 contact hours per week.
