HTM 422 : Hotel Organization and Administration

Prerequisites: Senior Standing, MGT 201, or permission of dept. chair

This course oversees the overall structure and operation of the hotel industry. Topics include typical hotel organization chart and its reporting line, knowledge of the overall operation of each department, work and job description, and general relationship of each department and how it functions. The course also looks into the reservation experience, personnel investment, guest accounting practices, food and beverage management, hotel environment, managing people, and setting goals and objectives.
