CHY 405 : Inorganic Chemistry

Prerequisites: CHY 301

This course covers atomic structure, chemical bonding, and geometric structure in order to understand the properties and reactivity of selected main groups and transition metals complexes focusing on their physical properties and uses in industrial fields. It also introduces the fundamental concepts of coordination chemistry involving crystal field theory and solid state chemistry. Lab sessions are required.
