CSC 313 : Interactive Multimedia
Prerequisites: CSC 211
The course is a simple introduction to the principles of interactivity and its’ application. The course has two main objectives: introducing the concepts of interactivity and applying the concepts by using interactivity production tools. The first part of the course will define and present the various forms, techniques and uses of interactivity in both nominal and technical terms. The application is focused on two forms: design and programming. The course introduces the features in Microsoft PowerPoint in which interactivity can be implemented. For each feature, there are applications that are explained in a certain context of usage. The other part of the course will focus on the programming aspect of interactivity. Students will learn how to create interactive output, by writing computer programs using a simple educational programming language Microsoft Small Basic.
