FIN 355 : International Banking

Prerequisites: Senior Standing or permission of dept. chair

This course introduces the dynamic nature of international banking, focusing on issues related to commercial banking, investment banking, retail and private banking, and offshore banking. Topics associated with risk management in international banking such as bank failure, supervision and regulation, money laundering, derivatives, country risk, and global debt crisis are included. Students will be exposed to the methods of financing for expansion and operations, cash management techniques, risk exposures for a multinational firm, and balance of payments defined and flow of funds analysis.
