BIO 305 : Introduction to Biochemistry

Prerequisites: CHY 201

This course is an introduction to the chemical and molecular reactions that sustain life. It covers the synthesis and degradation of biological molecules. It also discusses the regulated biosynthesis and processing of large macromolecules such as proteins and nucleic acids. This course assures a broad understanding of chemical events in living systems in terms of metabolism and structure-function relationships of biologically important molecules.
