MGT 410 : Leadership

Prerequisites: Senior Standing or permission of dept. chair

This course introduces the most comprehensive survey of the major theories and research on leadership and managerial effectiveness in formal organizations with practical suggestions for improving leadership skills. Topics include evolution of leadership theory, leadership effectiveness, competencies required by leaders, and assessment of a leader’s strengths and weaknesses. The content of the course reflects the latest advances in teamwork and group behavior research. Real case studies are also discussed and analyzed in class.
