ENG 402 : Literature in the Primary Classroom
Prerequisites: ENG 307
The course examines a variety of classic and contemporary children’s literature in English ranging from its beginnings in eighteenth-century fairy tales to contemporary examples of fiction that illustrate current trends. The course also gives students the chance to begin to develop their knowledge of a range of children’s literature that is an important part of being an English teacher at the primary level. Specific topics, reading lists, and course outlines will be published annually.
