CSC 333 : Networks technology
Prerequisites: CSC 331
This course is an introduction to networks concepts, terminology, and current network technology, from a hardware and software point of view. It includes lessons on network administration tools and techniques. Networking hardware technology is also addressed such as Ethernet, ATM, and wireless. Also covered are networking protocols (TCP/IP), routing, and error correcting, in addition to network services such as DNS, Web servers, virtual private networks (VPN), and open SSL. The course also explores the social and ethical aspects of the impacts of digital communication and computer networks.
