MKT 321 : Promotional Strategy
Prerequisites: Senior Standing or permission of the dept. chair
This course discusses the role of promotion in an organization›s communication processes from a theoretical and managerial perspective. It covers advertising, publicity, personal selling, and sales promotion, which are analyzed from the view of both the organization and its consumer groups. The purpose of this course is to help students develop a general understanding of how goods, services, ideas, people, and organizations can be promoted. Students will learn the basic principles of communication theory, apply marketing theory to real situations, and study the target market before making marketing related decisions.
