CSC 351 : Selected Topics in IT

Prerequisites: CSC 241

The course covers two themes. The first deals with essential selected IT issues where they are introduced and defined. The second is the major part and it covers theoretical and applicable principles and concepts that concern the educational profession nature of the degree and the potential graduates. The course introduces and discusses selected topics in information technology: such as data security, viruses, recovery and backup, networks, and software systems. Potential graduates in the IT teaching domain are prepared to uncover basic teaching principles and their means of application. The course offers hands on experiments for educational issues such as lesson planning, instructional technology, electronic educational resources and IT learning environment management.
