MIS 360 : Systems Analysis and Design

Prerequisites: MIS 301

This course describes the tools and techniques used in building information systems and in the implementation of systems analysis and design. Topics include data flow diagrams, modeling tools design, entity-relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, structure charts, and development technologies. Students will learn how related projects can be successfully managed and understand and practice the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Students are exposed to concepts in project management and information gathering techniques. The course also covers interpersonal skill development, operations and maintenance of the system, quality and decision theory, information theory, and practice.
